New Name, Same Aim...

I got a new sign. I agonized over what to write on it, until trusty Rivkah said, "It's just a sign, Autumn. They just have to find the door." Rivkah's common sense is always a boon.

My sign has the new practice name: Boca Child Counseling. We have a new logo and a new website (www.bocachildcounseling.com). We also have a new phone number: (561) 941-1400. We're using a new phone system (I suspect we are doing that with hiccups) and we have a new electronic record-keeping system. And, we got new furniture and plants (mostly Pothos, for those of you who want to know) and a welcome mat.

A lot of New is happening. On the Outside.

I find that when a lot of New things are happening at once, I get this nervous excitement... but, really, slight panic and delirium... that bubbles into my toes.

I see this often in my office, when people walk the tightrope between the platforms of Hope toward the safety of Success. It is impossible to predict if they will fall, or when they will succeed. But, I never question if they will reach the other side. They always reach the other side. And, I suppose I will, too.

Despite all of these Outside changes, Boca Child Counseling is not changing much on the Inside. (Though, I have been chided for committing too much time to training lately.) It's the same ol' safe space. We're still serving the best families in the neighborhood. And, we still walk alongside the best child-oriented professionals around. When you open the door to the office, you'll still see us happy because you walked in.

Still, I think the new sign is worth a visit... come on by... you're Welcome in our space and we'll surely be Glad You're Here.
